Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri A.Ş. (CBI) is owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. which is an established and rapidly growing mining and metals company .CBI is an underground mine and produces copper and zinc in Madenli, Çayeli in the Province of Rize on the eastern Black Sea coast. During the life of the operation, CBI has continuously looked for opportunities to enhance its reputation and performance through the application of leading international practice in all areas of its business. CBI is sensitive to the environment, respectful to the local people and one of the leading enterprises in terms of its technical infrastructure in the Turkish mining sector.

We are looking for Chemist who is reporting to the Chief Chemist.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing assigned tasks in accordance with Çayeli Bakır's safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the safety of oneself and the team.
• Knowing geochemical analysis, ore and mineral analysis methods and being able to develop new methods when necessary.
• A good command of Inorganic Analysis and Instrumental Analysis methods. Using spectroscopic devices such as AAS, ICP OES, XRF etc. very well.
• To have knowledge about the ISO 17025:2017 Accreditation system and documentation.

The ideal candidate is required to have the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Accreditations Laboratory.
• Good command of Microsoft Office Programs.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Will be available for three shifts and weekend works.
• To work outside the laboratory, for example, in the mill, underground, in the field, etc. for sampling and field tests, when necessary.
