Summary

Design Engineer or Gear Systems Design Engineer, will be a part of the Mechanical Design team, responsible for the mechanical design activities of various module and components for robots and/or precision gearboxes such as cycloidal, harmonic and planetary reducers.

Requirements

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
• At least 5 years of experience in Design Engineering or Gear Systems Design Engineering position
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated skills in utilizing multiple engineering tools, UG NX, ANSYS, Matlab
• Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills
• Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation robots and/or gearboxes
• Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules
• Ability to guide and influence others

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform calculations, formulate design and layout of mechanical systems such as actuators, robots, surrounding modules, test systems and/or precision gearboxes
• Create engineering documents using computer aided design (CAD) technology utilizing UG NX
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings
• Create detailed design reports and documents
• Verify calculations and analyses and report in detail
• Follow prototype production
• Create test systems for design validation
