QUALIFICATIONS

• Mechanical or Industrial engineer with 5 years experience in the similar field. Lean sigma certification will have advantage.
• Working knowledge of ISO quality management system standard
• Quality control and improvement tools such as 7QC, PPAP, Process control charts etc.
• Basic knowledge of computer, MS, SAP
• Fluency in English
• Minimun 4 years experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose And Objectives

•  Work within a cross functional team responsible for developing suppliers to ensure Quality, Cost, Material availability and lead-time objectives are optimized.

Major Tasks And Duties.

• Assist in the identification and screening of potential new suppliers relative to process and quality controls
• Perform and coordinate audits to assess supplier processes, controls, capabilities and capacity
• Have ownership for controlling and ensuring root cause analysis and preventive actions are implemented for supplier complaints.
• Outline supplier process and control improvement programs in order for suppliers to grow with the company
• Help develop supplier accountability for product/process quality including Welding quality
• Ensure suppliers are aware of quality standards/specifications and are reinforced through proper work instructions and training routines.
• Supplier ownership. Establish and maintain the supplier relationship
• Work with suppliers to avoid the waste, improve processes and  reduce the total cycle time.
• Supplier audit and approval. Help and train supplier to overcome the issues including customer complaints.
• Ensure the First Article/sample sent for approval meets FIRST TIME RIGHT priniciple.
• Work with suppliers to get their suggestions of improvements through Kaizen, VA/VE projects
