Missions
As part of the support group to the various breeding programs we are looking for a Farm Manager with enthusiasm, accuracy, and passion to contribute to the success of the various research programs. This position provides to the right candidate an excellent opportunity to develop a career with some of the leading global vegetable seed breeders.

The Farm Manager will work closely with Breeders, local farm team, local growers and Commercial team to accomplish the short- and long-term business goals and actively participate in all tasks related to breeding, trialling, data collections of multi crops required by Research Manager.

The farm manager will have to take responsibility for the day-to-day activities as of:

• Organize, review and control execution of actions plans on weekly basis.
• Assist administrative department in all legal issues related to temporary labours (on request).
• Manage CAPEX implementation (crew and equipment)
• Be responsible of crop management, to secure all farms requirements (Pesticides, Fertilizers, work permits) and climate controls.
• Setup fertilizing and spraying programs for all crops and ensure from good practices based on breeder team’s request. We also expect well understanding of request and compliance by giving good crop during the year.
• Manage crop planning, crop rotation, and all operations related to implementation of trials done for relevant breeders, product managers and production managers.
• Contribute to preparation (in relation with R&D, Production) and to control of budget sites.
• Implement sanitary measurements in stations and to follow them strictly.
• Monitor daily work of the workers from the beginning of the day until the end of the day.
• Follow outside trials requested by product managers or breeders and to keep them updated and to report results at the end of the season.

Profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related areas.
• Experience of minimum 3 years in similar position
• People management (not only workers but with local management)
• Good technical and legal knowledge of experimental and production sites, cultural practices.
• Ability to cope with multiple crops, growing techniques, growing cycles, and purposes.
• Ability to cope with intensive workloads at certain times of the year.
• Good level of organization, planning, priority setting, delegation skills
• Be motivated, enthusiastic, with good communication skills, and willing to work across a broad range of diverse tasks and environments.
• Accuracy in both practical and analytical tasks.
• Flexibility, pro-active and able to perform in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to work independently with day-to-day supervision.
• Local and international business travels would be required.
• Driving License is required.
• Must be fluent in Turkish and English (spoken and written); other languages are an advantage.
