Group of Companies SODRU is an international group of companies operating in the agricultural industry in Central and Latin America, Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and Central and South America. We are looking for an "Import Export Operation Specialist" with the following qualifications to work in SODRU's Istanbul Head Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

•            University degree, preferably in Foreign Trade or Business Administration

•            Advanced level of English

•            Min 3 years’ experience in Foreign Trade Operations, preferably in Agro Sector

•            Knowledge of custom operations, foreign trade legislation and port operations

•            Excellent MS Excel skills

•            Eager for teamwork, good communication and coordination skills

•            Analytical thinking, solution oriented and able to take responsibility in his/her own area of activity

•            Able to work in a stressful environment, due to high number and variety of daily transactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

•            Perform & follow-up import-export operations, including document control, invoice system entry, job order to customs broker, follow-up, and analysis of job order status

•            Coordination of all the internal (Logistics, Finance, Accounting etc.) departments and service providers (Transport companies, Customs Broker, Port operators etc.)

•            Prepare, apply for and follow up special import permissions and provide all necessary documents requested by customs broker needed for importation

•            Follow up stock in temporary storage areas and bonded warehouses

•            Offer solutions to problematic situations related to the import processes and ensure that all activities are run in compliance with customs legislation.

•            Check the content of customs declarations and closing documents and approve import related costs when necessary

•            Follow up guarantees and refunds

•            Guide other departments related to import operations in his/her area of responsibility, prepare reports when necessary

•            Knowledge about Agricultural Legislation (Laws, procedures, regulations etc.), and daily basis following the changes and ensure that all activities are run in compliance with the related legislation.
