Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Engine Superintendent at Soylu Group SA. The Engine Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of engines, ensuring the smooth functioning of all machinery and equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any engine-related issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

· Monitoring technical performance and operational conditions of allocated ships,

· Supervising repair / maintenance jobs, including dry dockings and attending important surveys,

· Supervising purchase of technical materials,

· Preparing detailed operating budgets for maintenance, dry docking and surveys,

· Preparing reviews and annual reports on vessel's budgeted and actual expenditures,

· Preparing technical reports to owners.

Qualifications

· Graduated from Marine Engineering department of a reputable university,

· Past seagoing experience as Chief Engineer is a must,

· Previous experience in a similar role,

· Strong knowledge and experience in engine maintenance and repair,

· Fluent in English Language. Knowledge of Russian Language is a plus,

· Good knowledge of applicable international and national codes, guidelines and standards such as ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, EU ETS, etc.,

· Good knowledge of shipping and seamanship,

· Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving engine-related issues,

· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills,

· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines,

· Strong communication and leadership skills,

· Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality,

· No travel restrictions, domestic or international,

· Driver’s license and good driving skills.
