ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

Qualifications 

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting and Finance
• At least 5 years of accounting and tax experience preferably in a multinational environment
• Profound knowledge and experience in Turkish GAAP and tax legislation
• Good command of English both written and verbal
• Proficiency in MS Office (extensive knowledge of excel)
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, time management and planning skills
• ERP knowledge and experience (preferably JD Edwards)
• Good communication skills 
  
  

Job Description

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury, cash forecasting, capital/fixed assets activity, debt and asset management
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Prepare all tax and SGK declarations and manage relation with the tax authorities
• Prepare government-related forms and reports
• Drive month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring the results are reported timely and accurate in line with tax and accounting regulations
• Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, P&L and other financial statements
• Analyze actual financial results vs plan and LEs and prepare variance reports
• Assist with preparation of the annual financial plan and budget
• Oversee, reconcile and submit all inter-company transactions and balances
• Follow-up e-invoice interfaces and submission of e-ledger to tax office
• Collaborate with internal and external audit and control groups
• Hands on control over accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Act as a liaison between accounting and other business groups
• Prepare payroll including necessary postings
