Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software project management, preferably in the aviation or telecommunications industry
• Proven experience in managing complex software development projects using Agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), systems engineering principles and project management processes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA, Asana, or Microsoft Project
• Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with in-flight connectivity (IFC) systems or similar technologies
• Familiarity with satellite communication protocols and standards
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for cloud-based systems
• Certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps practices

Job Description

The Program Executive  will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of operational software projects for TCI's In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) capability. This role requires a strong background in project management, experience with Agile methodologies, and a deep understanding of software and systems development processes. The Program Executive will collaborate closely with software engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

·       Project Planning and Scoping:

o   Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

o   Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

o   Establish clear communication channels and reporting mechanisms for project progress and updates.

·       Project Execution and Monitoring:

o   Lead and manage the software development team, ensuring tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed according to the project plan.

o   Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

o   Track project costs and ensure adherence to the budget.

·       Stakeholder Management:

o   Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

o   Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met.

o   Facilitate decision-making and conflict resolution among stakeholders.

·       Quality Assurance:

o   Ensure the software development process adheres to established quality standards and best practices.

o   Collaborate with test engineers to ensure comprehensive testing and validation of the software.

o   Monitor and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality metrics.

·       Delivery and Deployment:

o   Oversee the final delivery and deployment of the IFC solutions.

o   Coordinate with systems engineers and integration engineers to ensure seamless integration with the Ground Testbed and aircraft systems.

o   Facilitate user acceptance testing and obtain sign-off from stakeholders.
