Role Purpose

Reporting into the Finance Director - MET, the key purpose of this role is to act as finance business partner to the Turkey business who:

·       Provides support and challenge to local and regional leadership team.

·       Independently provides strong commercial insight & support to the business.

·       Takes ownership for delivery of high standard outputs on a timely basis, including monthly reporting and forecasts.

·       Develops a collaborative working relationship with the onshore & offshore (Mumbai) finance team and proactively drives efficient working practices.

Major Responsibilities

·       Understand the businesses key contracts and regulatory requirements and ensure rental costs are correctly accounted for, payments are administered on a timely basis and all statutory and IFRS reporting, and requests are addressed on a timely basis.

·       Manage external and internal audits. Ensure all audit findings are addressed on a timely basis.

·       Act as local liaison with GEO controls and governance team. Ensure GEO requirements are understood and communicated to the local finance team. Report local controls on a monthly basis and drive action-based discussions to strengthen controls where appropriate.

·       Identify efficiencies in processes and reporting and proactively drive an improvement agenda for Turkey (front office and back office).

·       Develop strong systems knowledge (SAP, MIBI, POS) and utilise it to strengthen the reporting of existing products (e.g., remittance) and establish reporting for new offerings (e.g., wholesale).

·       Preparing monthly management reports, presentations, financial and operational analysis

·       Preparing budget and forecasts for the year end financials via analysing the current dynamics

·       Controlling and analysing Cash Flow Statements and other Financial Statements

·       Working with external auditors to complete annual audit report

·       Controlling and reviewing Group templates

·       Following company monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax declarations

·       Controlling e-ledger uploads to the Government System

Role Specific Experience and Skills

·       Reporting and analysis:

o   Accountable for month end close and management reporting

o   Preparation of ad hoc analysis and quarterly board papers

o   Preparation of VAT returns

o   Preparation of year end stats

·       Regulatory:

o   Monthly reporting to the office of Revenue Administration (GIB / e-ledger)

o   Responding to GIB requests and managing GIB audits

·       Commercial decision support on a day-to-day basis, together with preparation of business cases

·       Preparation of forecasts/budgets including clear articulation of the assumptions, risks and opportunities

·       Take ownership for managing external and internal audits. Ensure all audit findings are addressed on a timely basis

·       Identify efficiencies, savings, and process improvements

·       Utilise systems knowledge to drive improvements in reporting, meet new regulatory requirements, support new product offerings, and drive efficiency in reporting and processes

·       Be responsive to business needs and to changes in priorities. This will include flexing to deliver upon ad hoc requests and at times flexing working hours to meet key deadlines.

·       Coach and develop direct report(s).

·       Work collaboratively with onshore finance team and back office (Mumbai) and back office to drive efficient working practices across MET Geo.

Knowledge, Skills and personal qualities:

·       Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience

·       Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

·       Advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of SAP, preferred

·       Experience proactively managing expectations of multiple stakeholders and consistently delivering to agreed deadlines

·       Strong analytical skills

·       Ability to challenge constructively when required to do so
