Responsibilities

• Apply your in-depth expertise in JavaScript and Node.js to create robust backend solutions. Your proficiency will drive the development of efficient and high-performing systems.

• Utilize your proficiency in MongoDB or related No-SQL database systems to design, develop, and optimize data storage solutions that power our applications.

• Leverage your proficiency in API design and development, along with your solid grasp of RESTful services, to build interfaces that enable seamless communication between applications and/or infrastructures.

• Employ your strong test and debugging skills to maintain the quality and integrity of the backend codebase, guaranteeing the smooth operation of our applications.

• Actively participate in code review sessions, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and best practices are upheld.

• Collaborate in Agile development methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other team activities.
  
  

Qualifications

To join our team, we require:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in development on modern stacks

• Proficiency in JavaScript & Node.js

• Proficiency in MongoDB or related No-SQL database systems

• Proficiency in API design and development, along with a strong understanding of RESTful services

• Strong knowledge of Git version control

• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills

• Good understanding of Agile Methodologies with Scrum

• Communication skills for both within the teams and cross-functional teams

• Strong test and debugging skills
  
  

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of containerized systems and experience with Docker, Swarm and/or Kubernetes

• Experience and understanding of CI/CD principles

• Knowledge of Cloud Services (especially AWS and related AWS Services)

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or at least one relational database

• Knowledge or experience in software architecture and system design for a scalable application

• Familiar with at least one messaging middleware and the underlying design principles (RabbitMQ, Redis Pub/Sub, Amazon SQS)
